William McKenzie is senior editorial advisor at the George W. Bush Institute, an adjunct journalism lecturer at SMU, and a contributing columnist for the Dallas Morning News. The Fort Worth native previously served 22 years as an editorial writer and columnist for the Morning News, where he won a Pulitzer Prize for editorial writing. The University of Texas graduate has served as editor of The Catalyst: A Journal of Ideas from the Bush Institute and the Ripon Forum. He and his wife live in Dallas and are parents of twin children.
