Emily Bradbury has served as the executive director of the Kansas Press Association (KPA) since July 30, 2018. She began her career as the executive assistant to former Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh and became involved with the Kids Voting Kansas program. Emily later served as the executive director of Kids Voting Kansas from 2002 to 2011 and took on various roles within KPA, including director of member services and assistant director.
In addition to her work with KPA, Emily is actively involved in the community, serving as co-president of the Kansas Sunshine Coalition and sitting on the Kansas Historical Society Foundation's Board of Directors and the Wellsville Community Library Board. She was named one of Topeka’s 30 under 30 in 2005 and a Washburn Alumni Fellow in 2023. Emily is passionate about the role of newspapers in communities and is committed to supporting KPA’s members.
