Benjy Hamm

Benjy Hamm is director of the Institute for Rural Journalism and an associate professor at the University of Kentucky. He previously served as editorial director for Landmark Community Newspapers, which operated more than 70 newspapers, online news sites and sports publications in 14 states. He also has served as opinion page editor of The Virginian-Pilot, managing editor of The Spartanburg Herald-Journal and as a reporter and editor for The Associated Press in Columbia, S.C.
