Brandi Rivera

Brandi Rivera is the President & Publisher of the Santa Barbara Independent, an alternative weekly publishing in-print and daily online in Santa Barbara, CA, she has worked there since 2008. Brandi earned her bachelors from the University of California, Santa Barbara and her masters in business administration from Pepperdine University. She is on the board of directors for the Association of Alternative Newsmedia, currently as Secretary, but has served various roles for the past five years. The Association of Alternative Newsmedia (AAN) is a 501c(6) organization, which represents nearly 100 alternative newsmedia organizations throughout North America.
